Guidelines on Giving Gifts to People with Meritorious Services on July 27, 2023

On June 27, 2023, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Official Dispatch 2392/LD-TBXH-NCC guiding the President's gifts on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023).

Guidelines for Giving Gifts to People with Meritorious Services on July 27, 2023

(1) Subjects stipulated in Clause 1 and Point a, Clause 2, Article 1 of Decision 715/QD-CTN in 2023:

Each person is entitled to receive one gift from the President. In case a person is recognized as two or more subjects eligible for both levels of gifts, that person will receive one gift at the highest level; if eligible for the same level of gift, that person will receive one gift at that level.

(2) Subjects stipulated in Point b, Clause 2, Article 1 of Decision 715/QD-CTN in 2023:

- The representative of martyrs' relatives will be the only surviving person among all relatives and is entitled to receive one gift.

In case the representative of martyrs' relatives is also eligible to receive a gift as stipulated in Clause 1 and Point a, Clause 2, Article 1 of Decision 715/QD-CTN in 2023, then the remaining representative of the martyrs' relative will be nominated to receive one gift for the representative of the martyrs' relatives.

- If there is only one surviving relative of the martyr, who is also the only representative eligible to receive a gift as stipulated in Point a, Clause 1 and Point a, Clause 2, Article 1 of Decision 715/QD-CTN, that person is entitled to receive an additional gift for the representative of martyrs' relatives.

- If there are two or more surviving relatives of the martyr all eligible to receive gifts as stipulated in Point a, Clause 1 and Point a, Clause 2, Article 1 of Decision 715/QD-CTN, one person will be nominated to receive one gift for the representative of martyrs' relatives.

(3) Subjects stipulated in Point c, Clause 2, Article 1 of Decision 715/QD-CTN in 2023:

In case there are no surviving relatives of the martyr, the person responsible for worshiping the martyr is entitled to receive a gift from the President; for each martyr, the person responsible for worshiping the martyr is entitled to receive one gift.
