Vietnam: Striving for the growth rate of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021 to reach 6.5%

This is a notable content of the Directive No. 01/CT-BKHĐT of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam on implementing the Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP dated January 01, 2021 of the Government of Vietnam.

Specifically, according to Section I of the Directive No. 01/CT-BKHĐT, the general tasks of all officials, public employees and employees of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam are as follows:

- Develop and complete reports on the implementation of the public investment plan for the 2016-2020 period and the proposed public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period;

- Evaluation of the implementation of the five-year socio-economic development plan 2016-2020 and the proposed five-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025;

- Evaluation of the implementation situation of the Government's action plan to implement the National Assembly's Resolution on the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2016-2020 and the proposed action plan to implement the development plan socio-economic 5 years 2021 - 2025;

- …

In particular, in Appendix III issued together with the Directive No. 01/CT-BKHĐT, it is clearly stated that the Government's goal of striving for the growth rate of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021 is 6.5%; GDP per capita is about 3,700 USD; ect.
