Promulgation of regulations on Rules of Origin of goods in the EVFTA Agreement

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade promulgated Circular 11/2020/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the regulation of Rules of Origin of goods under the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Union.

Issued together with Circular 11/2020/TT-BCT are regulations on certification and inspection of goods origin in Vietnam through the following Appendices:

- Appendix I: Explanatory notes for the product-specific rules stipulated in Appendix II;- Appendix II: Product-specific rules;- Appendix III: Cumulative application of aquatic ingredients;- Appendix IV: Cumulative application of aquatic products;- Appendix V: Cumulative application of textile products;- Appendix VI: Specimen of the C/O form EUR.1 of Vietnam;- Appendix VII: Sample text of the origin declaration by the exporter;- Appendix VIII: List of agencies and organizations issuing C/O form EUR.1 of Vietnam.

The list of agencies and organizations issuing C/O form EUR.1 of Vietnam is updated in the Electronic Certificate of Origin Management and Issuance System of the Ministry of Industry and Trade at www.ecosys.gov.vn.

For details of the appendices, refer to Circular 11/2020/TT-BCT, effective from August 1, 2020.
