Principles for Collecting Information on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control

On December 29, 2017, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Circular 07/2017/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating the collection and reporting of information on families and the prevention and control of domestic violence.

The collection and reporting of information regarding families and the prevention and control of domestic violence must adhere to the following principles:

- Honest, objective, accurate, and promptly.- Ensure independence, non-duplication, and non-overlapping.- Public, transparent, and not affecting the legal rights and interests of organizations and individuals.- Information is collected in the form of recording and updating into records and forms. The content of the information collected includes:- Information about families;- Information about domestic violence;- Information about the work of preventing and controlling domestic violence.

According to Circular 07, the People's Committee at the commune level is responsible for collecting and recording initial information about families and the prevention and control of domestic violence periodically into the information log.
