The requirements for technical drawings of historical-cultural monuments and famous landscapes are stipulated in Circular 09/2011/TT-BVHTTDL on the content of scientific dossiers for the ranking of historical-cultural monuments and famous landscapes issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam on July 14, 2011.

Under Article 8 of Circular 09/2011/TT-BVHTTDL, the technical drawings of historical-cultural monuments and famous landscapes must meet the following technical and aesthetic requirements:
- General layout drawing at a scale of 1/500;
+ For historical monuments: the general layout drawing should clearly show the positions of constructions, locations, and remaining traces related to the event and historical figures associated with the monument;
+ For archaeological monuments: the general layout drawing should fully display the archaeological sites of the monument that have been discovered, surveyed, and excavated;
+ For scenic spots: the general layout drawing should show contour lines and the positions of constructions within the scenic area, with annotations about the scale of these constructions;
- Drawings of layouts, elevations, cross-sections, longitudinal sections, and detailed architectural structures with typical carvings at a scale of 1/50;
+ In case of detailed architectural structures with typical carvings with small dimensions: technical drawings should be designed at an appropriate scale to clearly portray the carvings;
+ In case of archaeological monuments: reuse (certified true copies) drawings of layouts and cross-sections of the excavation pits and drawings of some representative artifacts designed during the excavation of the monument.
Note: The set of technical drawings must be bound into a booklet of A3 paper size, with a soft cover, and bear the seal and confirmation of the head of the unit preparing the scientific dossier of the monument.
