This content is specified in Circular No. 09/2016/TT-BNNPTNT issued on June 01, 2016 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development of Vietnam providing for animal slaughter and veterinary hygiene inspection control.
According to Circular No. 09/2016/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural development of Vietnam, for carcasses of teenage pigs, suckling pigs and rabbits: 01 stamp of slaughter control shall be affixed to the rump of the carcass.
Regarding carcasses of livestocks:
- For carcasses and meat cuts sent from the slaughterhouse to the preparing establishment in a closed line: 01 stamp of slaughter control shall be affixed to the rump of the carcass;
- For carcasses and meat cuts for sale: 01 stamp of slaughter control shall be affixed to the shoulder, the belly and the rump of the two sides of the carcass; or at a position that ensures the verification of completion of veterinary hygiene inspection, applicable to meat cuts.
Besides, Circular No. 09/2016/TT-BNNPTNT also stipulates that regarding carcasses of poultry:
- For carcasses of poultry serving export: 01 stamp of slaughter control shall be affixed to the breast of the carcass;
- For poultry’s carcasses serving domestic consumption: 02 stamps of slaughter control shall be affixed to the 2 sides of the breast of the carcass; for packaged whole chicken, 01 stamp shall be affixed to the breast of the carcass.
