Vietnam: 03 types of inspection of inland waterway ships according to Circular 48

This is a notable content stipulated in Circular No. 48/2015/TT-BGTVT prescribing the registration of inland waterway ships, issued by the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam on September 22, 2015.

Specifically, according to Circular No. 48/2015/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, types of inspection of inland waterway ships include:

- Initial inspection, including: inspection of new ships, inspection of imported ships, and inspection of ship undergoing initial administrative registration;

- Regular inspection, including: periodical inspection, annual inspection, docking inspection and intermediate inspection;

- Ad hoc inspection which will be carried out in accordance with legislative documents, technical regulations and standards specified in Appendix I enclosed herewith.

Note: Contents of and periods for carrying out types of inspections shall comply with the legislative documents, technical regulations and standards specified in Appendix I enclosed herewith.
