According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology, issued together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills that learners must achieve after graduating from the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology at the college level are as follows:

- Be able to read technical drawings, design diagrams, installation, and repair in refrigeration systems, central air conditioning systems, car air conditioning systems, etc.;

- Select and proficiently use the main tools and equipment in the profession;

- Supervise and organize the implementation of safety work in the field of the profession;

- Install and proficiently operate industrial, commercial, and domestic refrigeration systems ensuring safety, meeting technical requirements, and achieving material and fuel savings;

- Install and proficiently operate local air conditioning systems, central air conditioning systems ensuring safety, meeting technical requirements, and achieving efficiency and material, and fuel savings;

- Maintain and proficiently service refrigeration systems, car air conditioning systems, and install, operate VRV/VRF systems ensuring safety, meeting technical requirements, and achieving efficiency and material, and fuel savings;

- Check the technical parameters of the system, equipment, and specialized materials input;

- Proficiently repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration faults in refrigeration systems;

- Repair common electronic control faults in refrigeration systems;

- Calculate refrigerating load, select, preliminarily design, and install refrigeration systems of small capacity air conditioning units;

- Evaluate the environmental impact of refrigerants and environmental factors when performing jobs in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology;

- Classify industrial waste;

- Use basic information technology according to regulations; exploit, process, and apply information technology in professional work in the field of the profession;

- Use basic foreign languages, achieving level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Foreign Language Competency Framework; apply foreign languages in professional work in the field of the profession.
