Requirements for Skills in the Textile Technology Industry at College Level

Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in fields such as materials, metallurgy, production, and other technical technologies.

As specified in the regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and competence requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate level and college level in the textile technology field, promulgated along with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills that learners must achieve after graduating in textile technology at the college level are as follows:

- Select appropriate technological solutions, calculate and design the technology for the machines in the textile production line suitable for the fabric products to be processed;

- Design a complete fabric textile production line based on the layout of the equipment and the investment potential in technology;

- Inspect and evaluate the quality indicators of fabrics during production and post-production;

- Monitor, supervise, and address incidents related to equipment and technology during the production process;

- Regulate the production schedule in the workshop, ensuring industrial safety and hygiene, and fire and explosion prevention during the production process;

- Work independently and organize team work to perform the tasks and jobs in the fabric weaving profession;

- Mentor, guide, nurture, and train vocational skills for lower-level workers;

- Operate and control the equipment in the textile production line to produce products ranging from simple to complex, ensuring productivity and product quality as per customer requirements;

- Use basic information technology as prescribed; exploit, process, and apply information technology in professional work in the field;

- Use basic foreign languages, achieving level 2/6 according to the Vietnamese language proficiency framework; apply foreign languages in professional work in the field.
