Circular 298/2017/TT-BQP was issued by the Ministry of National Defense providing guidance on the implementation of policies, and ensuring support for organizations and individuals performing the tasks of searching and collecting the remains of martyrs.

According to Circular 298, individuals who provide accurate information and assist in the search and gathering of martyrs’ remains will receive the following policies:

- A stipend of 3,000,000 VND for accurate information that leads to the search and gathering of the remains of one martyr; 5,000,000 VND for accurate information that leads to the search and gathering of a collective grave containing the remains of 2 to 5 martyrs; 10,000,000 VND for accurate information that leads to the search and gathering of a collective grave containing 6 or more martyrs' remains;- Individuals with outstanding achievements in providing accurate information will be immediately rewarded following the successful search and gathering results; the award will be decided by the Commander or Political Commissar of the Military Region or the Chairman of the Provincial or Municipal People's Committee.
