The Ordinance on the Reserve Force 1996 was promulgated on July 28, 1996. Notably, this document stipulates policies concerning the reserve force.
To be specific, according to the provisions of Articles 24 and 25 of the Ordinance on the Reserve Force 1996, reserve soldiers when participating in training, drills, readiness checks, or combat readiness shall enjoy the benefits as prescribed by the Military Service Law and the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.
The benefits of reserve soldiers mobilized for duty as mentioned in Clause 2, Article 18, the benefits of vehicle owners and those mobilized to serve in duties mentioned in Clause 5, Article 14, Clause 2, Article 19 of the Ordinance on the Reserve Force 1996 shall be regulated by the Government of Vietnam.
Reserve soldiers holding commanding positions in reserve units of a scale from squad or equivalent and above shall quarterly enjoy a management responsibility allowance coefficient compared to the minimum wage as follows:
- Squad Leader: 0.25- Platoon Leader: 0.30- Deputy Company Commander: 0.35- Company Commander: 0.40- Deputy Battalion Commander: 0.45- Battalion Commander: 0.50- Deputy Regiment Commander: 0.55- Regiment Commander: 0.60.
