On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 46/2018/TT-BLD-TBXH stipulating the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate or college levels in various fields including materials, metallurgy, production, and other technical technologies.
Minimum Knowledge for the Transport Engineering Technology Sector at the College Level - Illustrative Image
As per the regulations on the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from the intermediate level, college level in the transport engineering technology industry and profession issued together with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge learners must achieve upon graduating from the transport engineering technology sector at the college level is as follows:
- Be able to present contents: Engineering surveying, structural mechanics, construction materials, structural design, construction technology and organization, knowledge of construction project management, management, exploitation, and maintenance of transportation structures;
- Be able to describe the content of the steps of surveying, measuring, designing, and constructing transportation structure components;
- Be able to analyze information on: Topography, geology, hydrology, load... to propose appropriate design and construction plans for transportation structures;
- Be able to present overall and detailed construction measures for each component of roads below grade 3 and some simple components of higher-grade roads depending on construction conditions;
- Be able to present overall and detailed construction measures for each component of small bridges and some simple components of medium and large bridges depending on construction conditions;
- Be able to present design methods for some simple components of small bridges;
- Be able to present design methods for each component of roads of grade 4 and below;
- Be able to analyze issues of manpower, labor, materials, and equipment to propose optimal solutions for surveying, designing, and constructing transportation structures;
- Be able to describe methods for inspecting and evaluating the quality of work components according to current standards;
- Be able to handle incidents, deal with arising issues and present remedial measures during the implementation of the work;
- Be able to present basic knowledge on politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as per regulations.
