Factors to be Considered When Forecasting Monthly Electricity Load Demand

This is the notable content stipulated in Circular 25/2016/TT-BCT regulating the transmission power system.

Forecasting the monthly electricity load demand is carried out for the upcoming month. When forecasting the monthly electricity load demand, the following factors must be considered:

- Results of the monthly electricity load demand forecast from the published annual electricity load demand forecast;- Statistical data on capacity, electricity consumption, import and export, the maximum load for both daytime and evening of the same month in the previous year and the most recent 03 months from the Electricity Distribution Unit, Electricity Distribution and Retail Unit, Electricity Wholesale Unit, and electricity customers who receive electricity directly from the transmission grid;- Events that may cause significant fluctuations in the electricity load demand and other necessary information.

Also according to Circular 25/2016/TT-BCT, the results of the monthly national electricity system load demand forecast include: Maximum capacity, electricity consumption, the typical daily chart of each week with a cycle of 30 minutes/time of the national electricity system, the three-region electricity system, and at the connection points between the transmission grid and the distribution grid.
