Employment Opportunities After Graduation in Transportation Engineering Technology at the College Level

Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in fields such as materials, metallurgy, production, and other technical technologies.

As per Regulation on the minimum volume of knowledge, competency requirements that learners achieve upon graduating the intermediate level, college level in transportation engineering technology profession, issued along with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is regulated that after graduating in transportation engineering technology at the college level, learners have the competence to meet the requirements at job positions in the profession, including:

- Surveying of traffic works;- Surveying and designing of roads, drainage systems, and auxiliary systems;- Surveying and designing of bridges;- Construction of roads, drainage systems, and auxiliary systems;- Construction of bridges.

Additionally, this Circular also regulates the learning ability and enhancing competency for learners as follows:

- The minimum volume of knowledge, competency requirements that learners achieve upon graduating in the transportation engineering technology profession at the college level can continue to develop at higher levels;- Learners after graduation have the capability for self-learning, self-updating scientific and technological advancements within the profession to enhance their level or to further their education to higher levels within the same profession or in the group of professions or within the same training field.
