What are objectives of the general education program for grade 11 students in Vietnam?

Pursuant to the provisions in Section 2 of the General Education Program issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDĐT, the objectives of the general education program for grade 11 students and other levels are as follows:

The general education program specifies the objectives of general education, helping students master general knowledge, effectively apply the knowledge and skills acquired to life, and engage in lifelong learning, guiding them to choose career paths that suit their abilities, helping them to build and maintain harmonious social relationships, develop individuality, character, and a rich inner life, thus leading meaningful lives and contributing positively to the development of the country and humanity.

The primary education program helps students form and develop basic elements for balanced development in terms of physical and mental states, qualities, and capacities; it mainly focuses on educating them on personal, family, community values, and essential habits in study and activities.

The lower secondary education builds upon the qualities and capacities developed in primary school, enabling students to self-adjust according to common social standards, use active learning methods to complete foundational knowledge and skills, have initial knowledge of various professions, and develop a vocational orientation to continue higher education, vocational training, or participate in the working life.
