- Technical measures for occupational safety and fire and explosion prevention and control;
- Measures on occupational hygiene techniques, prevention and control of harmful factors and improvement of working conditions;

- Taking care of employees' health;
- Information, propaganda, education and training on occupational safety and hygiene.

What are the regulations on the self-inspection of occupational safety and hygiene at the Ministry of National Defense?
Pursuant to Article 17 of Circular 142/2017/TT-BQP, the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam's self-inspection of occupational safety and hygiene is regulated as follows:
- The employer must plan and organize the implementation of periodic and irregular self-inspection on occupational safety and hygiene at the establishment.
- The specific content, form and time limit for self-inspection must ensure effectiveness and be suitable to the nature of work, risks of occupational accidents, occupational diseases, and working conditions of the establishment.
- The unit commander must prescribe and organize the self-inspection on occupational safety and hygiene in the unit; the specific form and time of self-inspection shall be decided by the unit commander.
- Self-inspection on occupational safety and hygiene, promptly detect shortcomings in occupational safety and hygiene, and take remedial measures; educating and reminding people to raise their sense of responsibility in the observance of safe working procedures and measures; promote the creative spirit, self-reliance and ability of employees in detecting risks of occupational accidents and hazardous factors, and organizing to overcome shortcomings.
How is the implementation of the occupational safety and hygiene plan in Vietnam regulated?
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 16 of Circular 142/2017/TT-BQP stipulating the implementation of the occupational safety and hygiene plan in Vietnam as follows:
- After the occupational safety and hygiene plan is approved by the unit commander or the competent authority, the planning department of the unit is responsible for organizing the implementation.
- Departments assigned to implement the occupational safety and hygiene plan shall coordinate with the occupational safety and hygiene department and the health department to organize the implementation; and at the same time urge, inspect the implementation and regularly report to the unit commander to promptly take measures to ensure the occupational safety and hygiene plan is fully implemented and on time.
The unit commander is responsible for periodically evaluating the implementation of the occupational safety and hygiene plan and informing the implementation results to the employees in the unit.
What is the content of the self-inspection of occupational safety and hygiene of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam?
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 18 of Circular 142/2017/TT-BQP stipulating the contents of self-inspection of occupational safety and hygiene of the Ministry of National Defense as follows:
- The implementation of regulations on occupational safety and hygiene such as: Health examination, examination and detection of occupational diseases, working hours, rest time, toxic allowances, compensation in kind, declaration reporting, investigating, statistics and reporting occupational accidents;
- Dossiers, books, rules, procedures and safe working measures, inspection record book, recommendation book;
- The implementation of promulgated safety standards, regulations and procedures;
- The state of safety and hygiene of machines, equipment, factories, warehouses and workplaces such as: Shielding at dangerous locations, reliability of safety structures, heat resistance, dust resistance , lighting, ventilation, water supply, drainage and other related matters;
- The use and maintenance of personal protective equipment, technical means of fire prevention and fighting, and emergency medical equipment;
- The implementation of the contents of the occupational safety and hygiene plan;
- The implementation of recommendations of inspection and examination delegations;
- The management of equipment, materials and substances has strict requirements on occupational safety and the control of hazardous and harmful factors;
- Knowledge of occupational safety and hygiene, the ability to handle incidents and give first aid and first aid of employees;
- The organization of fostering meals and health care of employees;
- Self-inspection of subordinates, the settlement of suggestions and recommendations on occupational safety and hygiene of employees;
- Responsible for the management of occupational safety and hygiene and the mass movement on occupational safety and hygiene.
