The set of question papers used to test for issuing Cclasses A1, A2, A3, A4 driving licenses consists of 25 questions, including 01 question about the concept; 01 question about serious traffic insecurity; 06 questions about traffic rules; 01 question about speed, distance; 01 question about traffic culture and driver ethics; 01 question about driving technique or repair structure; 07 questions about the road sign system; 07 questions about solving shaping positions and skills to handle traffic situations.

What are the contents of driving tests for issuing Class A1 motorbike driving licenses in Vietnam?

According to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 21 of Circular 12/2017/TT-BGTVT supplemented by Points a and b, Clause 13, Article 1 of Circular 38/2019/TT-BGTVT as follows:

3. Content of driving tests

Theory tests include questions relating to Law on road traffic, driving techniques, common structures and repairs, transport profession (for A3, A4 class licenses); common structures and repairs, driving ethics (for B1 class license); common structures and repairs, transport profession, driving ethics (for licenses for B2 class and over).

Candidates who take the Class A1 license test and have a driving license issued by transport authorities are exempted from theory tests.

b) Practice tests on situational diagrams for classes A1, A2

Candidates shall control their motor vehicles through four test lessons: driving through 8 diagrams, through a straight line, through roads with marks of obstacles, and through rough roads.

c) Practice tests on situational diagrams for A3, A4 classes

Candidates shall drive forward and backward through a zigzag.

d) Practice tests on situational diagrams for B1, B2, C, D and E classes

The candidate must follow the procedure and drive through the tests arranged in the test center such as depart, give way to pedestrians, stop and start the motor vehicle on the slope, turn 90 degrees, drive through crossroads with traffic lights, drive through winding roads, pull over at a parking lot (vertical position for B1, B2 and C classes; and horizontal position for B1, B2, D and E classes), make a temporary stop at intersection with railway, handle dangerous situations, shift on flat roads, ending;

dd) Practice tests on situational diagrams for FB2, FD, and FE classes

Candidates shall drive through a diagram with 05 standard piles and return.

e) Practice tests on situational diagrams for FC class

Candidates shall take 02 tests: drive through a diagram with 05 standard piles and return; to vertical parking.

g) Practice tests on the road: Candidates shall control their motor vehicles, handle situations on the road, and take orders from the examiner.

h) Driving tests carried out through traffic situation simulator: Driving test candidates shall respond to simulation situations on the computers;

i) Practice tests on situational diagrams for Class A1 license granted to the disabled who ride motor tricycles for the disabled.

Driving test candidates must drive the tricycle through in a zigzag.

Thus, according to the above regulations, the contents of driving tests for issuing Class A1 motorbike driving licenses in Vietnam include:

- Theory tests:

25 multiple-choice questions

Candidates who take the Class A1 license test and have an automobile driving license issued by transport authorities are exempted from theory tests.
