Based on Article 9 of Circular 10/2016/TT-BCA:

Arrange Records and Documents into the Citizen Identification Archive

1. Arrange records and documents related to the issuance and management of the Citizen Identification Card, 12-digit ID Card

a) Each citizen’s records and documents are placed in a separate Citizen Identification file folder. If the documents do not fit into one folder, additional folders are created and labeled “volume 1, volume 2, …”;

b) Citizen identification records and documents are arranged in alphabetical order of Vietnamese characters for surname, given name, middle name, date, month, year of birth of the citizens (male and female separately) as recorded on the Citizen Identification file folder.

2. Arrange records and documents related to the issuance and management of the 9-digit ID Card

a) Classification of fingerprint patterns

- Classify fingerprint patterns printed on fingerprint cards according to the Galton-Henry method, fully record 06 group fingerprint classification formulas on the application form and fingerprint card;

- Check classification results and adjust incorrect formulas;

b) Arrange application forms, fingerprint cards

- Application forms are arranged in alphabetical order of Vietnamese characters for surname, given name (male and female separately) and date, month, year of birth;

- Fingerprint cards are arranged in the order of the 06 group fingerprint classification formulas.
