What are the responsibilities of the applicant for blood donation in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 68 of Circular No. 26/2013/TT-BYT stipulating the responsibilities of the applicant for blood donation in Vietnam as follows:

- Give honest answers to questions about the health condition and bear responsibility for these answers.

- Confirm that (s)he has read information carefully and voluntarily donate their blood by appending his/her signature after being offered clear explanations and completing the questionnaire to collect information about the blood donor's health in accordance with regulations laid down in Clause 2 Article 7 of Circular No. 26/2013/TT-BYT.

- Do not pretend to donate blood to have access to free-of-charge health check or blood test.

- Voluntarily refuse to donate blood if (s)he supposes that (s)he is not eligible for the blood donation in accordance with regulations laid down in Article 4, 5 and 6 of Circular No. 26/2013/TT-BYT. Do not conceal the risk of contracting diseases when applying for the blood donation.

- After each blood donation, immediately report to the blood receipt facility if (s)he think that (s)he can expose to any risk of contracting the hepatitis, HIV infection and other transmitted diseases.

What documents do blood donors have to present?

Blood and blood component donor must submit one of the following documentation: Identification card, passport, military and police identification card, driving license, work card, student card, blood donation card, blood donor certificate or personal status confirmation issued by local agencies, organizations, unions or authorities.

- Identity card/Citizen ID card

- Passport

- Military and police identification card

- Driving license

- Work card

- Student card

- Blood donation card, blood donor certificate or personal status confirmation issued by local agencies, organizations, unions or authorities.
