Ho Chi Minh City: To organize COVID-19 vaccination for all people from 18 years old

The Ministry of Health issued Official Dispatch 6118/BYT-DP dated 29/7/2021 on vaccination against COVID-19 in Vietnam during social distancing according to Directive 16/CT-TTg. In particular, the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is requested to organize vaccination for all people aged 18 years and over.

Specifically, the Official Dispatch clearly states that before the complicated development of the epidemic situation in Ho Chi Minh City, the Government and the Ministry of Health of Vietnam have given many directions and instructions on epidemic prevention and control. Following the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam has prioritized allocating vaccines to Ho Chi Minh City to deploy vaccination against the epidemic.

In order to speed up the vaccination schedule, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam proposed that the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City direct relevant units to organize the implementation of the following:

(1) Organize vaccination for all cases from 18 years old and above in the locality; prioritize vaccination for frontline health workers, the elderly, and cases with underlying medical conditions and accelerate the increase in vaccination coverage.

(2) Increase mobilization of forces for vaccination, including public and private healthcare, hospitals, medical examination and treatment facilities, and health care sectors; organize vaccination at epidemic facilities and numerous mobile vaccination points in residential areas.

(3) Make arrangements for vaccination personnel and support departments to work full-time during the vaccination campaign.There is no limit to the number of people in each vaccination session, maximizing the capacity of vaccination sites.

(4) Instruct people to fill out the consent form to participate in vaccination, the screening form, either electronically or on paper; notifying the time and location of injection so that people can participate fully, on time, and in small groups; arranging appropriate follow-up time after vaccination.

Those in the vaccination delay group will continue to monitor and arrange for vaccination as soon as possible when eligible.

People in the group that need to be cautious about vaccination can be vaccinated at all fixed and mobile vaccination facilities, not required to be vaccinated at hospitals and treatment facilities.

(5) In the blockaded areas, the local government based on the number of people to arrange appropriate fixed or mobile vaccination points, avoiding people having to move to other areas when participating in vaccination. strains.

(6) Continue to promote the use of the Electronic Health Record platform for managing and tracking vaccination progress.
