Vietnam: Supplementing forms of Certificates issued under international conventions of IMO and ILO

Certificates of technical and environmental safety issued under international conventions of IMO and ILO to which Vietnam is not a signatory or conventions not specifying specimens of certificates or at the request of shipowners to provide information about the conformity of relevant authorities shall use the specimens of certificates to issue to ships specified in Clause 2 Article 5 of Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam. Moreover, Circular No. 41/2019/TT-BGTVT supplements the specimen “Declaration of MARPOL electronic record book for ships equipped with electronic record book issued under the Resolutions MEPC.312(74) and  MEPC.314(74) of IMO is provided in Form No. 48 in Appendix 1 enclosed herewith”.

Besides, Circular No. 41/2019/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam also amends the Appendix enclosed with Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT providing forms of certificates and records of satisfaction of technical safety and environmental protection requirements issued to ships, inland waterway vehicles and industrial products used for inland waterway vehicles, which shall be applied from July 01, 2020 as follows:

- Form No. 29 in the Appendix enclosed with the Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT shall be replaced by Form No. 29 in Appendix 2 enclosed herewith.

- Form No. 31 in the Appendix enclosed with the Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT shall be replaced by Form No. 31 in Appendix 2 enclosed herewith.

- Form No. 33 in the Appendix enclosed with the Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT shall be replaced by Form No. 33 in Appendix 2 enclosed herewith.

- Form No. 37 in the Appendix enclosed with the Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT shall be replaced by Form No. 37 in Appendix 2 enclosed herewith.

- Form No. 38 in the Appendix enclosed with the Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT shall be replaced by Form No. 38 in Appendix 2 enclosed herewith.

- Form No. 39 in the Appendix enclosed with the Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT shall be replaced by Form No. 39 in Appendix 2 enclosed herewith.
