This is a notable content of Circular No. 27/2016/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, issued on October 12, 2016.
According to Circular No. 27/2016/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, an examiners board consists of 05 to 07 members who are:
- Premium-class maritime pilot(s) having practiced maritime pilotage at premium class for at least 36 months;
- Shipmaster(s) having held an equivalent title for at least 36 months on maritime vessel(s) with gross tonnage from 3000;
- Specialists esteemed for maritime expertise;
- Representatives of maritime administrations and/or inland waterway port authorities.
Concurrently, Circular No. 27/2016/TT-BGTVT also stipulates that the examiners board shall be tasked with:
- Conducting oral examinations, grading, summarizing and reporting results as per regulations;
- Proposing to the Maritime Pilotage Examination Council the timely rectification of examination questions;
- Handling and reporting violations of examination regulations intra vires to the Maritime Pilotage Examination Council.
