Recently, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam has issued Circular No. 13/2015/TT-BGTVT publicizing the lists of imports subject to specialized management by the Ministry of Transport under Decree No. 187/2013/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government dated November 20, 2013.
Specifically, according to Article 1 of the Circular No. 13/2015/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, the list of imports subject to specialized management by the Ministry of Transport under Decree No. 187/2013/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government include:
- Right-hand drive means of transport (including those in knocked- down forms and those with converted drive before being imported in Vietnam), excluding those provided in Appendix I to this Circular;
- Assorted automobiles and their spare parts, assorted motorcycles, motorbikes, and special-use motorbikes which have their frame or engine numbers erased, modified or tampered with, provided in Appendix II to this Circular;
- Used vehicles which have been transformed in structure compared with their original designs provided in Appendix III to this Circular;
- Used supplies and vehicles provided in Appendix IV to this Circular.
Note: The list of goods imported under permits and subject to specialized management by the Ministry of Transport is provided in Appendix V to this Circular.
The Vietnam Register under the Ministry of Transport is a specialized management agency in charge of inspecting and certifying the quality of imports subject to specialized management by the Ministry of Transport under this Circular.
