Minimum Skill Requirements Upon Graduation from Intermediate-Level Forestry Program

Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (BLDTBXH) stipulates the minimum volume of knowledge and requirements for competencies that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in fields of agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, and veterinary medicine. It will take effect from February 10, 2019.

Regarding the regulation of minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate level, college level in forestry industry, issued along with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills that must be achieved after graduating from the intermediate level in the forestry industry are as follows:

- Ability to use tools, surveying instruments, and some specialized software in forest resource management, forest land management, and forestry mapping;

- Ability to produce a variety of agricultural-forestry seedlings;

- Ability to perform tasks related to planting, caring for, nurturing, and restoring forests; controlling forest pests, preventing and fighting forest fires, and preventing humans and livestock from damaging forests;

- Ability to identify various species of forest animals and plants;

- Ability to participate in the preparation of various types of records related to the forestry field;

- Ability to propagate and mobilize communities to comply with laws and regulations on forestry;

- Ability to participate in managing production activities at group or team levels; perform silvicultural techniques, and carry out tasks of local forestry extension officers;

- Organize forestry farm production and business;

- Apply safety regulations and measures in labor, provide first aid to individuals who suffer labor accidents or illnesses in forestry production;

- Ability to use basic information technology according to regulations; exploit, process, and apply information technology in specialized work of the industry;

- Ability to use basic foreign languages at level 1/6 in the Vietnamese language proficiency framework; apply foreign languages to specialized work of the industry.
