Minimum Knowledge of Freshwater Aquaculture at Intermediate Level

Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs on December 28, 2018, stipulates the minimum volume of knowledge and requirements for competencies that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in fields of agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, and veterinary medicine.

According to the Regulation on minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating at intermediate and college levels in the field of freshwater aquaculture, issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that students must acquire upon graduating from the intermediate level in the field of freshwater aquaculture is as follows:

- Demonstrate the technological process of production and commercial farming of several economically valuable freshwater fish species;

- Demonstrate the technological process of commercial farming of several freshwater specialty aquatic species;

- Demonstrate the technological process of commercial farming of cold-water fish;

- Describe methods to determine several water environment indicators; management measures for some environmental factors in freshwater aquaculture;

- Demonstrate the method of using feed in freshwater aquaculture;

- Describe methods of transporting freshwater aquatic animals; list factors affecting aquatic animals during transportation;

- Demonstrate integrated disease prevention measures, diagnostic methods, and treatment of common diseases in freshwater aquatic animals;

- Describe methods of using biological products, medicines, chemicals, and specialized equipment in freshwater aquaculture;

- Demonstrate communication theory, communication skills, and psychological factors affecting communication with customers;

- Demonstrate measures to ensure safety and occupational hygiene in aquaculture;

- Demonstrate basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, physical education, and informatics as regulated.
