Minimum Knowledge for Saltwater and Brackish Water Aquaculture, Intermediate Level

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that students must achieve upon graduation from intermediate or college levels in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary science.

According to the Regulation on the amount of minimum knowledge, and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the saltwater and brackish water aquaculture sector, issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that learners must achieve after graduating from the saltwater and brackish water aquaculture sector at the intermediate level is as follows:

- Present the general legal regulations related to the management of saltwater and brackish water aquaculture;- Describe the usage, operational principles, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of machines, equipment, and tools used in hatcheries and farming of saltwater and brackish water aquatic species;- Describe the process of improving, preparing the nursery system, and commercial farming of saltwater and brackish water aquatic animals;- Explain the biological characteristics and reproduction of saltwater and brackish water aquatic species from the hatching stage to commercial farming and breeding stages;- Describe the processes of breeding, spawning, nursery, and commercial farming of saltwater and brackish water aquatic species;- Present the impact and management methods of hydrological and hydrochemical factors during breeding, nursery, and commercial farming of saltwater and brackish water aquatic species;- Describe the process of producing and quality controlling industrial feed for saltwater and brackish water aquatic species in aquatic feed processing plants;- Describe the feeding methods and rations during breeding, nursery, and commercial farming of saltwater and brackish water aquatic species;- Describe the live feed cultivation and harvesting methods used in hatcheries;- Present common diseases (caused by fungi, parasites, bacteria, viruses, and environment) in saltwater and brackish water aquatic species and apply appropriate prevention and treatment methods;- Describe labor safety principles and fire prevention and control at the workplace;- Describe first aid methods for labor accident victims;- Present environmental protection measures, waste, and wastewater treatment before discharge into the surrounding environment;- Develop the habit of maintaining cleanliness in the workplace during and after work.- Present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense security, physical education, and informatics as required.
