On December 28, 2018, Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH was issued by BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and the competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery, and veterinary medicine.

In the Regulation on minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in Freshwater Aquaculture, issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that after graduating from the college level in Freshwater Aquaculture, learners are capable of meeting the requirements in the following job positions of the industry, including:
- Freshwater fish seed production;- Commercial freshwater fish farming;- Freshwater ornamental fish farming;- Coldwater fish seed rearing and commercial farming;- Production and commercial farming of some freshwater aquatic specialties;- Freshwater aquatic animal disease prevention and treatment;- Advisory and service in aquatic materials and products.
Additionally, the regulation on learning capacity and competency improvement for learners is as follows:
- The minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating in the industry of Freshwater Aquaculture at the college level can continue to be developed to higher levels;- Learners after graduation have the capacity for self-study, self-update of scientific and technological advancements within the scope of the industry to improve their level or pursue further education in higher levels in the same industry, a group of industries, or the same field of training.
