On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that students must achieve upon graduation from intermediate or college levels in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary science.

According to the regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the veterinary services sector, issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the intermediate-level veterinary services sector is a profession that involves the use of veterinary drugs, vaccines; using veterinary instruments, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, semen collection, and preparation, obstetrical practice, performing veterinary services in livestock facilities, agricultural science and technology service centers, communes/wards, implementing agricultural extension tasks, and meeting the requirements of level 4 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
Graduates can work on farms, livestock breeding businesses, veterinary drug companies, animal feed production; veterinary drug retail, veterinary clinics, pet care services, agricultural service centers, research and technology transfer agencies related to animal husbandry - veterinary services; government management bodies, public administration bodies, and other organizations related to veterinary services.
The minimum volume of knowledge is 1530 hours (equivalent to 55 credits).
