On June 30, 2016, the Ministry of Defense of Vietnam issued Circular No. 103/2016/TT-BQP regulating humanitarian medical examination and treatment in medical facilities under the Ministry of Defense.
According to Circular No. 103/2016/TT-BQP of the Ministry of Defense of Vietnam, to conduct humanitarian medical examination and treatment, the humanitarian medical team must meet certain requirements regarding physical facilities, medical equipment, personnel, etc. For example, the requirements for physical facilities are as follows:
- For the humanitarian medical team at medical facilities under the Ministry of Defense, the medical facility must have an operating license.
- For the mobile humanitarian medical team, the designated location for conducting the humanitarian medical activities must meet the following conditions:
+ There is a reception area, medical examination rooms for specialties, emergency rooms, and patient storage rooms; In case of minor surgery, there must be a minor surgery room;
+ Meeting the conditions on infection control, radiation safety, medical waste management, and fire prevention according to current law;
+ Ensuring adequate electricity, water and other conditions to serve humanitarian medical examination and treatment activities.
