The organization of November 20 each year is chaired by the People's Committees and education councils at all levels, with cooperation from the educational sector and mass organizations. Various levels and sectors need to assign leaders to visit teachers, organize friendly meetings with teachers, and on this occasion, may organize commendation for teachers with achievements.

The organization of Vietnam Teachers' Day should be solemn and practical, avoiding formality and causing inconvenience to students and their parents.

And in Section 2 of Circular 26-TT of 1982, it states:

After consulting with the Education Trade Union, the Ministry provides guidance for organization of Vietnam Teachers' Day as follows:

2. a) Annually, from October, the educational management levels of the Education Union need to proactively report to the authorities and organizations to hold meetings to review the work and activities of the teaching staff; evaluate past actions and propose necessary future actions.
