On October 03, 2023, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch 5499/BGDDT-CNTT in 2023 regarding the implementation of statistical reporting for the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year.

According to Official Dispatch 5499/BGDDT-CNTT in 2023, the Ministry of Education and Training requires the Departments of Education and Training to execute the following tasks:

(1) Based on the actual situation of the local area, direct educational institutions to fully update information and data for statistics and submit statistical reports to higher authorities.

(2) Direct the Divisions of Education and Training to urge and conduct reviews, inspections, and approval of the data reports from educational institutions under their management and submit the reports to the Provincial Department.

(3) The Departments of Education and Training are to urge and conduct reviews, inspections, and approval of the data reports from the Divisions of Education and Training and affiliated units to consolidate the local educational statistical reports and submit them to the Ministry of Education and Training before October 30, 2023, via two methods:

- Paper documents- Electronic documents (with the signature and seal of the Director of the Department of Education and Training) and through the sector's data system at http://csdl.moet.gov.vn.

(4) Some requirements to ensure the quality of statistical information reports, addressing certain issues from previous statistical reporting periods, to note:

- Fully declare information from school records;- Fully declare information about students and faculty;- Check, review, and assess the consistency of indicators according to the statistical report templates before submitting to higher authorities.

(5) Organize and compile support information for resolving difficulties:

- The Departments of Education and Training shall manage and utilize the educational database according to the regulations in Chapter 3 of Circular 42/2021/TT-BGDDT.

The Departments of Education and Training are required to assign tasks to their departments/divisions and staff (focal units) to guide subordinate units in resolving difficulties during implementation within their management scope, and simultaneously compile information for discussions and problem resolution to the Department of Information Technology.
