Will the new payrolls for school health workers increase by 30% or 37% after the salary reform in Vietnam in 2024?

On October 1st, the National Assembly passed a Resolution on the state budget estimate for the year 2024. The Resolution specifies that starting from July 1st, 2024, comprehensive salary policy reforms will be implemented in accordance with Resolution 27-NQ/TW in 2018 of the 7th Central Executive Committee, 12th term.

According to the Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs, under the salary reform plan, starting from July 1st, it is expected that the average salary of officials and public employees will increase by approximately 30% (including base pay and allowances).

From 2025 onwards, this salary level will continue to be adjusted with an annual average increase of around 7%.

Therefore, starting from July 1st, 2024, when the salary reform is implemented, the average salary of officials and public employees is expected to increase by about 30%. Consequently, it is possible that the new payrolls for school health workers will increase by approximately 30% from that date.

In addition, from 2025, the new payrolls for school health workers will increase by 7% when the salary reform of 2024 is implemented.

However, the exact amount of the increase still needs to be determined by the official documents issued by the relevant state authorities.
