Vietnam: Will employees receive bonuses for Hung Kings Commemoration Day, April 30 - May 1?

1. Bonus is the amount of money or property or other forms that an employer rewards to employees based on production and business results and the performance of employee's work.
2. The bonus regulation is decided and openly announced at the workplace by the employer after consulting with the grassroots labor representation organization at places having such an organization.
Thus, whether employees receive bonuses or not will be decided by the employer. If the bonus regulation includes the decision to reward employees on Hung Kings Commemoration Day, April 30, and May 1, then employees will still receive bonuses during these holidays.

For employees working on holidays or Tet breaks, they are entitled to at least 300% wages, not including the wage for holidays, Tet breaks for employees paid on a daily basis.
Additionally, for employees working at night, they will receive an additional amount of at least 30% of the wage for a normal working day and 20% of the wage for holidays or Tet breaks.
Thus, working on holidays, Tet breaks, the wage calculation is as follows:
- Working during the day: Receive at least 400% wage.
- Working at night: Receive at least 490% wage.
