On February 21, 2023, the Judicial Academy issued Notice 168/TB-HVTP 2023 to enroll for the 8th bailiff training course in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Recently, on February 3, 2023, the Vietnam Judicial Academy issued Notice 96/TB-HVTP in 2023 on enrollment of the general training course of judges, prosecutors, and lawyers in 2023 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
According to Notice 168/TB-HVTP in 2023 on enrolling for the 8th bailiff training course, the contents of the 8th bailiff training course are:
- Form of training: Credit-based training (18 credits)
- Training period: 6 months
- Diploma: Certificate of graduation from the bailiff training course.

+ In Hanoi: Judicial Academy, Tran Vy Street, Mai Dien Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi City.
+ In Ho Chi Minh City: Campus in Ho Chi Minh City - No. 821 Kha Van Cân, Linh Tay Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.
- Classes: Day classes on Saturday and Sunday (except public holidays, Tet)
- Candidates: Persons with bachelor's degrees in law or higher

What are the admission fee and the tuition fee for the bailiff training course at the Vietnam Judicial Academy?
Notice 168/TB-HVTP 2023 based on Decision 1706/QD-HVTP dated December 28, 2021 of the Director of the Vietnam Judicial Academy, the admission fee and tuition fee of the bailiff training course at the Vietnam Judicial Academy are as follows:
- Admission fee: 200,000 VND/ 01 candidate
- Tuition fee:
The tuition fee is 12,750,000 VND/student/course (Twelve million seven hundred and fifty thousand VND even).
Each year, the above tuition fee may increase in accordance with the law and the decision of the Director of the Vietnam Judicial Academy.
Candidates eligible for the tuition fee exemption and reduction and applicable conditions as prescribed in Article 2 of Decision 1706/QD-HVTP dated December 28, 2021, of the Director of the Vietnam Judicial Academy must prepare and submit the application for preferential treatment immediately upon submission of the application: (02 notarized or certified copies of birth certificates + certificates, invalid cards ... Certificate/Certificate of graduation from training courses according to the social needs of the Vietnam Judicial Academy).
What does the application for admission to the 8th bailiff training course in 2023 include? What is the time for submitting applications?
Pursuant to Notice 168/TB-HVTP in 2023 as follows:
- Application: Each candidate submits 02 sets of physical applications, including:
+ 02 Curriculum vitae (according to the form of the Judicial Academy);
+ 02 Photo registration forms for enrollment (according to the form of the Judicial Academy);
+ 02 certified copies of bachelor of law diploma or higher.
For overseas diplomas, there must be a certificate from the Quality Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Training or a document identifying cases where equivalent diplomas are not required;
+ 04 4x6 photos (specify the candidate's full name and date of birth on the back side of the photo);
+ 01 stamped envelopes clearly stating the candidate's contact address.

+ In Hanoi: The deadline is March 10, 2023;
- In Ho Chi Minh City: The deadline is April 17, 2023.

What are the criteria for a bailiff in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 6 of Decree 08/2020/ND-CP, the criteria for a bailiff are:
- Eligibility of bailiff
A person shall be assigned as a bailiff when he/she:
- Be a Vietnamese national, not older than 65 years old, residing in Vietnam, properly adhering to the Constitution and the laws, and possessing good moral virtues.
- Have undergraduate or post-graduate degrees in law.
- Practice law for at least 3 years in agencies, organizations after obtaining undergraduate or post-graduate degrees in law.
- Complete training courses, receive recognition equivalent to training completion, or complete bailiff refresher training courses mentioned under Article 7 hereof.
- Qualify in the bailiff apprenticeship exam.
