Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 Speech for Elementary Schools

Dear Mr/Mrs,

Dear parents and beloved young children!

Today, in the joyous and exciting atmosphere of millions of young children across the country celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival "Joyful Moon Night" of the year 20XX, School XX, along with the local authorities and organizations, is hosting a Mid-Autumn Festival gathering for the children in the locality. On behalf of the school administration, the Communist Party committee, the People's Council, and the Commune People's Committee, I warmly wish the children a happy and joyful Mid-Autumn Festival. May you all be diligent, obedient, and excel in your studies.

Dear Mr/Mrs,

Dear beloved young children,

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Full Moon Festival, is held on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every year. Over thousands of years, people have always believed in a close connection between human life and the moon. The full moon and crescent moon, joy and sorrow, reunion or separation. Hence, the full moon symbolizes reunion, and the Mid-Autumn Festival is also called the Reunion Festival.

On this happy day, according to Vietnamese custom, every family member wishes to gather together. Parents prepare a feast for their children to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, buy and make lanterns lit with candles for the children to carry around. The Mid-Autumn Feast includes moon cakes, candies, sugarcane, grapefruit, and various other fruits.

Dear children! The Mid-Autumn Festival used to be a festival for adults, but gradually it has become a festival for children. This is also an occasion for the Communist Party, the government, and various organizations to show their concern for children, the future owners of Vietnam. Many localities have organized Mid-Autumn Festivals for children with various activities such as cultural performances, lantern processions, and giving gifts to children. Just like the "Joyful Moon Night" celebration today, we organize this with the support of the Communist Party committee, local authorities, various organizations, and the Parent Association. We are grateful for their help in making today's gathering possible. Let's give a round of applause to show our gratitude to them.

Dear children!

When speaking about your Mid-Autumn Festival, we think of Uncle Ho, the beloved father of our nation. During his lifetime, Uncle Ho always had special affection and concern for children—the future owners of the country:

"The Mid-Autumn moon is as bright as a mirror,

Uncle Ho looks at it and remembers the children.

Then Uncle writes a few lines,

Sending his love and affection to the children."

That affectionate sentiment is Uncle Ho's hope for the future generations of the country. Hence, I hope you will always strive to study well and behave well to meet the expectations of Uncle Ho, the leaders, your parents, teachers, and everyone who always cares for you.

Dear Mr/Mrs, dear teachers, and beloved students!

With this sentiment, on behalf of the school, I declare the opening of the "Joyful Moon Night" festival of the year 20XX.

Thank you, and I wish the distinguished guests and teachers good health. I wish you all a joyful and meaningful Mid-Autumn festival night.
