“What is the current Vietnam telephone code? What is the detailed list of telephone area codes of 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam?” - asked Mr. V.T (Thai Binh)

What is the current Vietnam telephone code?

Vietnam Telephone Code (Vietnam Country Code) is the national identifier and represents the telephone area code of our country. The Vietnam telephone code according to international practice is +84, in which the national domain name is VN, and the ISO symbol is VNM.

By convention, Vietnam phone numbers are written with a "+" sign in front of the country code. From abroad to Vietnam, you must add the country code +84 at the beginning of the phone number. For example, if your phone number is 0989xxxxxx, it will be written as +84989xxxxxx. If calling domestically, you dial 0989xxxxxx, and if calling from abroad, you dial +84989xxxxxx or 00840989xxxxxx.

Vietnam telephone code is currently applied in 2 different scopes, which are between regions in the same country and between countries around the world. The naming of the Vietnam telephone code is also a way to identify the name, area, and location of a province or a country. It may seem like just formal numbers, but country codes have a tremendous impact on making connections around the world.
