c/ The Minister of National Defense appoints, relieves from duty, dismiss the remaining positions and bestows, promotes, demotes and strips the remaining ranks and raises salaries for officers;

d/ The appointment, relief from duty, dismissal of positions of procuracies, courts, judgment execution offices in the Army comply with law.

2. The authority competent to appoint any position may relieve from duty, dismiss, demote, decide to extend the in-service duration, transfer, second, assign officers to lower positions, demobilize, transfer to other grades and demobilize from the reserve officer grade to such position

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1, Table 6, salary increase table for officers of the People's Army; People's Public Security officers and non-commissioned officers promulgated together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP stipulates as follows:

Accordingly, the General of the Vietnam People's Army has a salary coefficient of 10.40.

The current statutoty pay rate is 1,800,000 VND/month (According to Clause 2, Article 3 of Decree 24/2023/ND-CP)
