What are the responsibilities of candidates when entering the Vietnam high school graduation exam room in 2023?
Based on Clause 4, Article 14 of the exam regulations issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDĐT, candidates must comply with the following regulations in the exam room:
- Present the exam ticket to the invigilator.
- Sit in the correct position with your exam number.
- Before taking the exam, write down your exam number and candidate's information on the exam paper, answer sheet, multiple-choice answer sheet, and scrap paper.
- Upon receiving the exam paper, check the number of pages and print quality; if any pages are missing, torn, smudged, or blurred, report to the invigilator immediately, no later than 5 minutes after the exam papers are distributed.
- Do not communicate, copy others' work, use unauthorized materials for the exam, or engage in deceptive behavior and actions that disturb the exam room order; if you wish to speak, raise your hand to report to the invigilator, and after being permitted, stand up and clearly present your opinion to the invigilator.
- Do not mark or make distinct signs, do not write with a pencil except for filling in the boxes on the multiple-choice answer sheet; only write with one ink color (not red ink).
- When the signal to stop the exam is given, immediately stop working on the exam.
- Protect your exam paper intact, do not let others misuse your exam paper; promptly report to the invigilator if your exam paper is misused or deliberately tampered with by others.
- When submitting essays, clearly state the number of sheets submitted and sign the receipt form; candidates who do not complete the exam must still submit a blank sheet (for essay exams) or a multiple-choice answer sheet (for multiple-choice exams).
- Do not leave the exam room during multiple-choice exam time; for essay exam sessions, candidates may leave the exam room and area after 2/3 of the exam time has passed, and must submit the exam paper along with the exam question and scrap paper before leaving the exam room.
- In necessary cases, only leave the exam room with the permission of the invigilator and under the supervision of the monitoring officer; leaving the exam room or area in emergencies requires the supervision of security officers until the exam session ends and is determined by the Exam Center Head.
- Only bring into the exam room:
+ Pens, pencils, compasses, erasers, rulers, calculators without text-editing functions and no memory cards (as specified in the annual organization guide for the high school graduation exam of the MoET).
+ Vietnam Geography Atlas for Geography exams (without any markings or additional written content) issued by the Vietnam Education Publishing House.
+ Recording devices or cameras that can only record information and cannot play, view, transmit, or receive information, audio, or images directly without additional support devices.
- It is prohibited to bring into the exam room: carbon paper, correction pens, alcoholic beverages, weapons, and explosives; documents, communication devices, or information storage devices that could be used for fraudulent purposes during the examination or grading process.
How long is the time allotted for each subject of the 2023 Vietnam high school graduation exam?
According to Article 4 of the exam regulations issued together with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDĐT, the regulations are as follows:
Exam date, schedule, content, format, and duration of each subject
1. Exam date, schedule: Specified in the annual guide for organizing the high school graduation exam by the MoET.
2. Exam content: The exam content is within the high school program, mainly grade 12 program.
3. Exam format: Math, Foreign Language, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences exams are in multiple-choice format; the Literature exam is in essay format.
4. Exam duration per subject: Literature 120 minutes; Math 90 minutes; Foreign Language 60 minutes; 50 minutes for each component subject of the combined exams in Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.
According to the above regulations, the exam duration for each subject is as follows:
- Literature: 120 minutes.
- Math: 90 minutes.
- English: 60 minutes.
- Combined exams: 50 minutes for each subject within the combined exam.
