(1) For public schools: Implement one of the two admission methods: examination and combined examination with qualification review.

- Examination: For students who wish to apply for admission to Le Quy Don specialized upper secondary school (conducted once with the entrance examination for 10th grade in public upper secondary schools in the province; the exam consists of 3 common subjects: Literature, Mathematics, English, and specialized subjects as per registration). The score for specialized subjects is multiplied by a coefficient of 2, while the scores for other subjects are multiplied by a coefficient of 1.

- Combined examination with qualification review: For students who wish to apply for admission to public upper secondary schools with vocational training programs and other public schools (the exam consists of 3 subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and English). The Department of Education and Training determines the coefficients for the exam subjects and the qualification review score.

(2) For private schools and vocational training institutions: Conduct qualification review or choose an appropriate admission method based on the function and mission of the institution and to meet the learning needs of students

a) Subjects, exam papers, exam format, time limit, scoring coefficients, and additional points;

b) Organization, tasks, and responsibilities of the examination board, invigilation board, marking board, and review board; exam paper preparation, printing, and delivery.

2. Guiding the admission process for the Department of Education and Training and upper secondary schools.

3. Making decisions to establish admission boards; approving the admission results of each upper secondary school. Receiving dossiers from the admission boards, invigilation boards, and marking boards.

4. Organizing inspections and checks on the admission process for lower secondary schools and upper secondary schools.

5. Storing admission dossiers according to legal regulations.

6. Conducting regular and annual statistical analysis, information dissemination, and reporting on the admission process to the provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training.

Therefore, the Department of Education and Training is responsible for planning the 10th-grade admission process, and the admission procedures will depend on the admission plan of each Department of Education and Training.
