(1) Vietnam Education Promotion Day (October 2)
In Article 1 of Decision 1271/QD-TTg in 2008, it is clearly stated as follows:
Article 1. Take October 2 every year as Vietnam Education Promotion Day to encourage people from all walks of life and social organizations to participate in the work of promoting learning, promoting talent, and building a learning society; Honoring bright examples of studiousness, collectives and individuals with achievements in promoting learning and talent.
Article 2. This Decision takes effect from the date of signing.
Article 3. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of Government agencies, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, Presidents of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities are responsible for implementing the Decision this decision.
According to the above regulations, October 2 of every year is considered Vietnam Education Promotion Day.
(2) Capital Liberation Day (October 10)
On October 10, 1954, the capital Hanoi was resplendent with flags and flowers in the joy of the people of the capital along with the army and people of the whole country.
The August Revolution of 1945 was successful, but the French colonialists, with the support of American imperialism, had the ambition to rob our country again, causing aggression in the South (September 23, 1945) and launching the war.
At exactly 3:00 p.m. on October 10, 1954, the Opera House's horn blew for a long time. Tens of thousands of people in the Capital and military units solemnly attended the ceremony to salute the national flag flying on the Hanoi Flagpole, at the Flagpole Stadium (where Dien Bien Phu, Tran Phu, Chu Van An, Le Hong Phong streets are located)
Thus, October 10, 1954 became the day of liberation of the capital.

(5) Establishment Day of the Vietnam Farmers' Association (October 14)
On September 27, 1979, the Party Central Committee Secretariat issued Directive 78-CT/TU on the organization of the Vietnam Union of Collective Farmers. On March 1, 1988, the Party Central Committee Secretariat issued Decision No. 42-QD/TW on changing the name of the Vietnam Collective Farmers' Union to the Vietnam Farmers' Association.

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 112 of the Labor Code 2019, regulations on public holidays are as follows:
Public holidays
1. Employees shall be entitled to fully paid days off on the following public holidays:
a) Gregorian Calendar New Year Holiday: 01 day (the 1st of January of the Gregorian calendar);
b) Lunar New Year Holidays: 05 days;
c) Victory Day: 01 day (the 30th of April of the Gregorian calendar);
d) International Labor Day: 01 day (the 1st of May of the Gregorian calendar);
dd) National Day: 02 days (the 2nd of September of the Gregorian calendar and the previous or next day);
e) Hung Kings Commemoration Day: 01 day (the 10th of the third month of the Lunar calendar).
2. Foreign employees in Vietnam are entitled to 01 traditional public holiday and 01 National Day of their country, in addition to the public holidays stipulated in Clause 1 of this Article.
3. The Prime Minister shall decide the specific public holidays mentioned in Point b and Point dd Clause 1 of this Article on an annual basis.
According to the above regulations, employees shall be entitled to fully paid days off on the following public holidays:
- Gregorian Calendar New Year Holiday
- Lunar New Year Holidays
- Victory Day
- International Labor Day
- National Day
