Meaning of signposts
40.1. Signposts on motorways which is not highways have the code “I” with the names of the signs as follows:
- Signpost No. I.401: Start of priority road;
- Signpost No. I.402: End of priority road;
- Signpost No. I.405 (a,b,c): Dead-end road;
- Signpost No. I.406: Priority is given to narrow roads;
- Signpost No. I.407 (a,b,c): One-way street;
- Signpost No. I.408: Parking place;
- Signpost No. I.408a: Partial parking on the sidewalk
- Signpost No. I.409: Car turning place;
- Signpost No. I.410: Turning area;
- Signpost No. I.413a: The road ahead has a lane for passenger cars;

The pedestrian tunnel sign has a square shape, a blue background, and a drawing of people walking down the steps in the center of the sign. An illustration of this type of signpost is as follows:

To instruct pedestrians to use the pedestrian tunnel, put the signpost No. I.424 (c,d) "Pedestrian tunnel". Depending on the actual direction of the pedestrian tunnel, use the signpost No. I.424c or I.424d accordingly.

What is the priority order of signal signs for road users?

Pursuant to Article 4 of the National Technical Regulation of Vietnam QCVN 41:2019/BGTVT on Road Signals stipulating as follows:

The order of effect of the signaling system
4.1. When simultaneously arranging different forms of signals with different meanings in the same area, road users must obey these types of signals in the following order:
4.1.1. Signals of traffic controllers;
4.1.2. Signals of signal lights;
4.1.3. Signals of signboards;
4.1.4. Signals of road markings and other pavement markings.
4.2. When at a position where there is already a fixed signboard and another sign is placed temporarily but the two signs have different meanings, Road users must obey the orders of temporary signs. A temporary sign is a sign used for a situational nature to organize traffic control of a short-term nature such as in events, traffic incidents or during road construction or repair.

Thus, according to the above regulations, road users comply with the signal's signal when they have obeyed the signal of the traffic controller and the signal of the signal light.
