Pursuant to Article 2 of the regulations for the 4th National Competition on Protecting the Ideological Foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 2024, issued together with Plan 2858-KH/HVCTQG 2024 download of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, the number of entries is specified as follows:

- For written entries, each author/group of authors can submit a maximum of 2 entries for the competition: 1 article in the Magazine category (Printed Magazine or Electronic Magazine) and 1 article in the Newspaper category (Printed Newspaper or Electronic Newspaper).

- For audio/visual entries (radio/television/video clips), each author/group of authors can submit a maximum of 3 entries for the competition: 1 entry in the Speech category (radio); 1 entry in the Visual category (television), and 1 entry in the Video Clip category.

(1) Regarding the theme and content:

Authors/group of authors should determine the theme of their entries focusing on fundamental and core issues related to the protection of the ideological foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints, such as:

The scientific, revolutionary, and contemporary value of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, and their supplementary and developmental proposals; socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam today; theories on the country's renewal process; protecting, applying, and developing the theories of the Communist Party of Vietnam on Party building, political system reform, combating corruption, and negative practices; core contents and new contents of Resolutions and Conclusions of the 8th Central Conferences in 2023, 2024, books by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong published in 2023; ensuring social security, promoting the strength of the national unity bloc; identifying and combating erroneous, distorted viewpoints of hostile forces, reactionaries, and opportunistic elements in all fields; summarizing valuable experiences, models, good practices, and proposing solutions and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of protecting the ideological foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

(2) Regarding the form:

- The entries should be main works written in Vietnamese (or ethnic minority languages, foreign languages with Vietnamese translation) in one of the following forms: Magazine (printed or electronic), Newspaper (printed or electronic), audio/visual (radio/television/video clip).

- The entries will be evaluated anonymously, so the author/group of authors should provide personal information on a separate page attached to the entry (for written forms) or literary script (for audio/visual forms).

Personal information should not be attached to any content of the entry.

Personal information includes: full name, date of birth, pen name (if any), scientific title, position, working unit, contact address, phone number, email address, ID card number, personal bank account number, bank name.

Entries that do not meet the requirements for content and form mentioned above will be considered as violations (disqualified).

The Organizing Committee will not return disqualified entries.

What are the specific requirements for each type of entry in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 3 of the regulations for the 4th National Competition on Protecting the Ideological Foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the specific requirements for each type of entry are as follows:

- Magazine:

The entry should be presented as an analytical article in a printed or electronic magazine with the following specifications:

+ Title: written in uppercase (bold).

+ Article type: Magazine.

+ Article summary: not exceeding 150 words, about 10 lines (italic).

+ Keywords: consisting of 3 to 5 keywords directly related to the content of the article.

+ Length: Minimum 4,000 words - maximum 6,000 words (excluding footnotes, references, and author information). The printed version and soft file should be in A4 format, font size 14, Times New Roman font, line spacing 1.5; top margin 2.5 cm; bottom margin 2.5 cm; left margin 3 cm; right margin 2 cm.

Citation of reference materials: placed at the end of the page. For Vietnamese books and newspapers, specify the author (year), book title, publisher, place of publication, volume number, and citation page.

For foreign books published in Vietnamese, use the latest edition translation.

The book title and the name of the foreign person should be written in the language of the country where the publication was made, without transliteration, translation, except for names that have been Vietnamese-ized (such as China, Japan, Thailand, ...).

If using unpublished sources in books or newspapers or sources with limited use, specify the name of the document management agency, document code.

+ References: Arrange the names of authors (if the author is not determined, arrange according to the name of the organization or the name of the document) in alphabetical order with A, B, C, including: Author name (year), book title, publisher, place of publication, volume number.

- Newspaper:

+ Length: Maximum 2,000 words (excluding footnotes, references, and author information). The printed version and soft file should be in A4 format, font size 14, Times New Roman font, line spacing 1.5; top margin 2.5 cm; bottom margin 2.5 cm; left margin 3 cm; right margin 2 cm.

+ Citation of reference materials (if applicable): Follow the same format as for Magazine articles.

For multi-part articles: Maximum of 3 parts, each part not exceeding 2,000 words, structured as independent articles but with related content on the same topic.

- Radio:

The entry should be a single or series of specialized articles or topics on the same subject (maximum of 3 parts).

Each article (or each part of the series) should not exceed 30 minutes, demonstrating the characteristics of radio broadcasting with clear sound, character voices, sound effects, and quality music.

- Television:

Each entry should be a single or series of specialized articles or topics on the same subject (each series not exceeding 3 parts).

Each article (or each part of the series) should not exceed 30 minutes, demonstrating the characteristics of television broadcasting with moving images and meeting quality requirements.

- Video clip:

Each entry should be a single video clip or series of video clips on the same specialized article or topic (each series not exceeding 3 parts).

Each video clip (or each part of the series) should not exceed 5 minutes, demonstrating the characteristics of video clips with moving images and meeting quality requirements.
