Pursuant to Section 2 of Appendix IIA issued together with Circular 06/2023/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating that senior specialists in the field of cultural heritage management must perform the following tasks:
- Formulate legal documents, strategies, master plans, plans, policies, programs, schemes and projects, specifically:
+ Assume the prime responsibility for researching and developing regulations and submitting them to Politburo and the Secretariat.
+ Legal documents of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government.
+ Strategies, master plans, plans, policies, programs, projects, important schemes of the sector or field on the management of cultural heritage.
- Guide and implement documents, specifically:
+ Lead and guide the implementation of regulations of the Politburo and the Secretariat; legal documents of the National Assembly, Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the Government, strategies, master plans, plans, policies, programs, projects, important schemes of the sector and field on heritage management culture.
+ Organize, guide and monitor the implementation of professional regimes and policies; propose measures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of management in the field of cultural heritage management.
+ Preside over the organization of professional training seminars, disseminating experiences in planning and implementing policies in the field of cultural heritage management.
- Check, review and summarize the implementation of documents, specifically:
+ Preside over organizing the preliminary review, review, inspection, analysis, evaluation and report on the implementation of the regulations of the Politburo and the Secretariat.
+ Legal documents of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Government.

- Participate in the appraisal of documents.

- Carry out professional activities, specifically:

What is the experience requirement for a senior specialist in cultural heritage management in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Section 5, Appendix IIA promulgated together with Circular 06/2023/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating the experience requirements for senior specialists in the field of cultural heritage management as follows:
- Firstly, having held the rank of main specialist and equivalent for full 06 years or more. In case the period is equivalent to the rank of principal specialist, the period of holding the rank of principal specialist must be at least 1 year (full 12 months).
- Second, during the time of holding the rank of principal specialist or equivalent, he has presided over the development and appraisal of at least 02 legal documents or scientific research topics, schemes, projects or programs. at the state, ministerial, departmental or branch levels that the agency employing public employees assigned to preside over the research and construction has been promulgated or accepted by a competent authority. Specifically:
+ There is a decision of the competent person to appoint to participate in the Drafting Board, Editorial Team, Drafting Team of legal documents, or there is a document assigning the task of presiding over the construction of the competent person in the case of no. It is compulsory to establish a Drafting Board, Editorial Team and Drafting Team in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents.
+ There is a decision of a competent person to appoint to join the Steering Committee, the Managing Board, the Drafting Committee of the topic, scheme, project, scientific research program at the state, ministerial, departmental and branch levels.
Circular 06/2023/TT-BVHTTDL takes effect from July 10, 2023.
