What are the criteria to become a Principal of a school for the gifted in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 11 of the Regulation on organization and operation of schools for the gifted, promulgated together with Circular 05/2023/TT-BGDDT, stipulates as follows:

Principal
In addition to the standards, duties and rights specified in the Charter of the lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools and multi-level secondary schools and professional title standards high school teachers, principals of schools for the gifted meet the following standards, duties and rights:
1. Satisfy the prescribed standards on selection of managers of core general education institutions, in which the criteria for using foreign languages and applying information technology reach a good level.
2. Organize the implementation of the tasks of the schools for the gifted according to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 2 of this Regulation in order to achieve the goals of the schools for the gifted.
3. Assume the prime responsibility for proposing or organizing the recruitment of teachers and employees according to management decentralization; propose to the competent authority the removal from the school for the gifted for teachers and employee who do not meet the requirements of performing the tasks of the school for the gifted, invite visiting teachers, send teachers to training and retraining in-country and abroad.
4. Direct the development of plans for fostering professional, professional, foreign languages and informatics capacity for managers, teachers and employee in order to meet the goals and tasks of the school for the gifted.
5. In each school year, chair and organize at least 01 (one) thematic seminar as prescribed at Point k, Clause 2, Article 2 of this Regulation.

Thus, according to the above regulations, in order to become a principal of a school for the gifted, it is necessary to meet the prescribed criteria for selecting key general education institution managers, in which the criteria for using foreign languages and public application of information technology is good.

In addition, the principal of a school for the gifted must meet the standards, duties and rights as prescribed in the Charter of the lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools and multi-level secondary schools and professional title standards high school teachers.

In addition to the standards, duties and rights prescribed in the Charter of the lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools and multi-level secondary schools and professional title standards high school teachers, the vice principals for the school for the gifted meet the following standards, duties and rights:
1. Satisfy the prescribed standards on selection of managers of core general education institutions, in which the criteria for using foreign languages and applying information technology reach a good level.
2. Be responsible for managing and administering the work assigned by the principal in organizing the implementation of tasks of the school for the gifted as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 2 of this Regulation in order to achieve the goals of the school for the gifted.
3. In each school year, participate in organizing at least 01 (one) seminar as prescribed at Point k, Clause 2, Article 2 of this Regulation.

Thus, according to the above regulations, in order to become a Vice Principal of a school for the gifted, it is necessary to meet the prescribed criteria for selection of managers of a core general education institution, in which the criteria for using foreign languages and applying public information technology is good.

In addition, the Vice Principal of a school for the gifted must meet the standards, duties and rights as prescribed in the Charter of the lower secondary schools, upper secondary schools and multi-level secondary schools and professional title standards high school teachers.

What are the standards to become a school employee of a school for the gifted in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 14 of the Regulation on organization and operation of schools for the gifted, promulgated together with Circular 05/2023/TT-BGDDT, stipulates as follows:

Employee
In addition to the standards, duties and rights specified in the charter of the lower secondary schools, high schools and multi-level secondary schools and professional title standards of their employees, employees of school for the gifted meet the requirements of the following standards, duties and rights:
1. Have the professional capacity to meet the requirements of achieving the goals and tasks of the school for the gifted.
2. Comply with the assignment of the principal in organizing the performance of tasks of the school for the gifted as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 2 of this Regulation in order to achieve the goals of the school for the gifted.

Thus, according to the above regulations, employees in schools for the gifted need to have professional and professional capabilities to meet the requirements of implementing the goals and tasks of the schools for the gifted.

Circular 05/2023/TT-BGDDT will take effect from April 15, 2023.
