Pursuant to Article 4 of Circular 3/2023/TT-BGTVT, the Vietnam coastal communication system includes 05 following communication stations:
- Coastal Communication Stations.
- Haiphong Land Earth Station (HAIPHONG LES).
- Vietnam Cospas-Sarsat Terrestrial Satellite Communication Station (VNLUT/MCC).
- Long Range Identification and Tracking Communication Station (LRIT).
- Hanoi Maritime Information Processing Center.
What is the implementation and completion duration of providing coastal information services in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Clause 4, Article 5 of Circular 3/2023/TT-BGTVT as follows:
Coastal Information Services
1. Coastal information services on the list of public services funded by the state budget (from recurrent expenditures) specified at Point b, Clause 2, Article 5 of the Government's Decree No. 32/2019/ND-CP dated April 10, 4, 2019 stipulating the assignment of tasks, order or bid for providing public products and services using the state budget from recurrent expenditures.

3. Volume and quality of coastal information services
a) Volume of coastal information services
- Unit of service volume is the service hours of the Vietnam coastal communication system.
- Service volume is the total number of service hours provided by Vietnam coastal communication system during the year.
b) The quality of coastal information services as prescribed in Circular No. 05/2019/TT-BGTVT dated January 29, 01 of the Minister of Transport stipulating criteria for supervision and acceptance of coastal information services.
4. Implementation time and completion time of service provision
From 0:00 on January 1 to 24:00 on December 31 of the implementation year.
Thus, according to the above regulations, the implementation and completion duration of providing coastal information services in Vietnam is from 0:00 on January 1 to the end of 24:00 on December 31 of the implementation year.
What are the coastal information services in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 5 of Circular 3/2023/TT-BGTVT as follows:
Coastal Information Services
1. Coastal information services on the list of public services funded by the state budget (from recurrent expenditures) specified at Point b, Clause 2, Article 5 of the Government's Decree No. 32/2019/ND-CP dated April 10, 4, 2019 stipulating the assignment of tasks, order or bid for providing public products and services using the state budget from recurrent expenditures.
2. Coastal information services shall comply with the provisions of this Circular, including:
a) Provide DSC (Digital Selective Calling) emergency watch services, RTP (Radio Telephony) emergency watch, MSI Navtex transmitter and MSI (Maritime Safety Information) and RTP broadcasting through management, operation, operation and repair of coastal communication stations;
b) Provide Inmarsat emergency watch services and develop MSI EGC through the management, operation, operation and repair of Haiphong Land Earth Station (HAIPHONG LES);
c) Provide Cospas-Sarsat emergency watch services through the management, operation, operation and repair of Cospas-Sarsat Vietnam Satellite Radio Station (VNLUT/MCC);
d) Provide LRIT information services through the management, operation, exploitation and repair of Long Range Identification and Tracking Communication Station (LRIT);
dd) Provide maritime information connection services through the management, operation, exploitation and repair of Hanoi Maritime Information Processing Center;
e) Perform unscheduled tasks related to coastal information (according to assigned tasks by competent authorities).
