Pursuant to Decree 68/2015/ND-CP on registration of nationality and registration of rights to aircraft.

1. If the Certificate of registration of Vietnamese nationality of aircrafts or the Certificate of registration of temporary Vietnamese nationality of aircrafts is damaged or lost, the applicant shall send a written notification to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to apply for reissuance.

- The certificate is lost;

What is the procedure for re-issuance of the certificate of nationality registration of aircraft in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Clause 15.1, subsection 15, Section A, Part II of administrative procedures promulgated together with Decision 1204/QD-BGTVT in 2022, procedures for re-issuance of the certificate of nationality registration of aircraft are carried out as follows:
(1) Execution sequence
Step 1: Submit administrative documents
The applicant for re-issuance of the certificate of nationality registration of aircraft shall send the application file directly, via the postal system or in the electronic environment or by other means to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and shall be responsible for the accuracy of the application. accuracy and truthfulness of the information recorded in the dossier.
Step 2: Handling administrative procedures:
- Within three (03) working days from the date of receipt of complete dossiers as prescribed, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam shall:
+ Re-issuance of the certificate of aircraft bearing Vietnamese nationality or the Certificate of temporary registration of aircraft bearing Vietnamese nationality;
+ Revoking the certificate of aircraft bearing Vietnamese nationality or the Certificate of temporary registration of aircraft bearing Vietnamese nationality, unless it is lost;
+ Posting information on the website of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
- In case the dossier is incomplete, within two (02) working days from the date of receipt of the dossier, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam shall issue written instructions to the applicant for re-issuance of the Certificate of registration of ship nationality. complete the application as prescribed.

What documents should be prepared for the re-issuance of the certificate of nationality registration of aircraft in Vietnam?
Pursuant to the provisions of Clause 15.3, subsection 15, Section A, Part II of the administrative procedures issued together with Decision 1204/QD-BGTVT in 2022, the application for re-grant of the certificate of nationality registration of aircraft include:
- Declaration according to the Form;
- A copy from the master book or a certified copy from the original or a copy taken from the original or a copy to present the original for comparison or an electronic copy from the original book or a certified electronic copy from the original book. documents proving the legal status of the applicant in case the applicant is a Vietnamese organization or individual.
In case papers and documents proving the legal status of the applicant are issued by a competent foreign agency, these papers and documents must be consularly legalized in accordance with law, except for the case of are exempt from consular legalization under international treaties to which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a contracting party or on the principle of reciprocity.
Accordingly, the applicant for re-issuance of the certificate of nationality registration of aircraft will make 01 set of documents with the above contents and send it to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam according to the prescribed procedures.
