What is the difference between a red book and a pink book in Vietnam?

Issuing agency and time of issuance of the book:

Pink book: "Certificate of housing ownership and land use rights" issued by the Ministry of Construction before 10/8/2005, changed to "Certificate of housing ownership, ownership of construction works" and issued from 10/8/2005 to before 10/12/2009.

Red book: "Land use right certificate" issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment before 10/12/2009 with the legal name "Land use right certificate."

Objects of use

The objects of use of pink books and red books have certain differences.

For the red book, the red book proves land use rights and is a tool to protect the rights and interests of land owners.

In the 2013 Land Law of Vietnam, certificates of land use rights, ownership of houses and other assets attached to land are prescribed as certificates issued to persons with land use rights, housing ownership rights, and other property ownership rights attached to land in a uniform form throughout the country.

In case, the Land Use Right Certificate, the Certificate of Housing Ownership and Residential Land Use Rights, the Housing Ownership Certificate have been issued before 10/12/2009 while still valid, they will not have to be changed to the Land Use Right Certificate, ownership of houses and other property attached to the land.

If there is a need to be changed to a Certificate of land use rights, ownership of houses and other property attached to the land while the Certificate has been issued before 10/12/2009, it will still be changed.
