According to the guidance in Section I of the Appendix enclosed with Decision 280/QD-BCT of Vietnam in 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade sets out the key tasks of natural disaster prevention, search and rescue in 2022 as follows:
"I. Core tasks
1. Timely carry out the tasks of natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue at the request of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and the National Committee for Incident and Disaster Response and Search and Rescue.
2. Maintaining the mode of disaster response and search and rescue; firmly grasp, advise and promptly and effectively handle natural disaster situations and search and rescue.
3. Strengthening the dissemination of laws and guiding law enforcement on the safe management of dams and hydropower reservoirs and regulations on disaster prevention, search and rescue; Communication in natural disaster prevention and control.
4. Regularly inspect and urge natural disaster prevention, search and rescue at units in the industry and trade to promptly handle natural disaster situations, search and rescue.
5. Improve the quality of vehicles and equipment for disaster prevention and search and rescue."

Where will funding for disaster prevention, search and rescue in 2022 come from?
According to the guidance in Article 2 of Decision 280/QD-BCT of Vietnam in 2022, the funding sources for natural disaster prevention, search and rescue in 2022 are arranged as follows:
"Article 2. Funding for the implementation of the tasks in the Plan shall be arranged from the funding source to support the operation of the Commanding Committee and the Standing Office of the Commanding Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the year 2022.
Assign the Standing Office to prepare and submit to the Commanding Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for approval detailed estimates of the implementation of the tasks in the Plan.”
