For Grade-10 and Grade-11 students
Under the provisions of Article 15 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT as follows:
Commendations
1. Principals shall award certificates of achievement for students
a) End-of-year commendation
- Award the title “Học sinh Xuất sắc” (Excellent student) for students who have obtained Excellent training and learning results for the entire school year and achieved DTBmcn of at least 9.0 in at least 06 subjects that are assessed via both feedback and scores.
- Award the title “Học sinh Giỏi” (Good student) for students who have obtained Excellent training and learning results for the entire school year.
b) Commend students for having unexpected merits in training and learning in the school year.
2. Students with special achievements shall be considered and requested for commendation by schools.
Thus, the standards for excellent students for Grade 10 and Grade 11 students are:
- Have obtained Excellent training and learning results for the entire school year and achieved DTBmcn of at least 9.0 in at least 06 subjects that are assessed via both feedback and scores.
For Grade 12 students
In the school year of 2023-2024, the standards for excellent students for Grade 12 students are not specified.
Under the provisions of Article 5 of Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT as follows
Based on assessment and classification of learning capacity
1. Bases for assessment and classification of learning capacity:
a) The level to complete the program of subjects and educational activities in education plan of secondary school, secondary school levels;
b) The result of the tests.
2. Learning capacity is classified into 5 categories: Good grade (G), rather good grade (R), medium grade (M), weak grade (W), poor grade (P).
Thus, the learning capacity of Grade 12 students in Vietnam is classified into 5 categories: Good grade (G), rather good grade (R), medium grade (M), weak grade (W), and poor grade (P).
Thus, "Good grade" is the highest grade applicable to the learning capacity of Grade 12 students in Vietnam.
At the same time, based on the provisions of Article 13 of Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT (with the phrase replaced by Clause 6, Article 2, Circular 26/2020/TT-BGDDT), the standards for good students are stipulated as follows :
- Grade point average of the subjects from 8.0 points or more in which the average point of one of three subjects Mathematics, Literature, and Foreign Language shall be from 8.0 or more; separately for students of specialized classes of specialized secondary schools, it is required to add the condition of an average point of the specialized subject from 8.0 or more;
- Have no subjects where that grade point average is below 6.5;
- The subjects evaluated by comments reached S.
At the same time, based on Article 18 of Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT (amended by Clause 8, Article 1 of Circular 26/2020/TT-BGDDT), conditions for recognition of excellent Grade12 students are prescribed as follows:
It shall be recognized good student of the semester or school year if achieved with good conduct and good learning capacity
What are the standards for classifying good conduct applicable to Grade 12 students in Vietnam?
Under the provisions of Article 4 of Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT, the standards for classifying good conduct applicable to Grade 12 students in Vietnam are clearly stated as follows:
- Strictly observing the rules of the school; strictly observing the laws and regulations on order and social safety, traffic safety; actively involving in fighting against the negative action, prevention and combat of crime, social evils;
- Always respecting teachers and adults; love and help young children, having sense to build the collective, uniting, being trusted by friends;
- Positively training morality, having a healthy, simple, unpretentious lifestyle; helping, caring for families;
- Completing fully the task of learning, having sense of striving, honesty in life, in study;
- Actively doing exercise, keeping hygiene and protecting environment;
- Fully participating in educational activities, activities organized by the schools; actively participating in the activities of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers, Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh Communist;
- Having attitudes and appropriate behavior in training ethics, and lifestyle according to contents of the citizen education subject.
Which documents specifying the assessment and classification of students in Vietnam are applied in the school year of 2023-2024?
For primary school students
Under the provisions of Article 2, Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT on the roadmap for assessment and classification of students as follows:
Regulations on assessment of primary school students shall be implemented complying with the following roadmap:
1. From 2020-2021 school year for first grade.
2. From 2021-2022 school year for second grade.
3. From 2022-2023 school year for third grade.
4. From 2023-2024 school year for fourth grade.
5. From 2024-2025 school year for fifth grade.
Accordingly, in the school year of 2023-2024, Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT shall be applied to students in Grades 1,2,3,4.
In the 2023 - 2024 school year, Circular 30/2014/TT-BGDDT shall be applied to Grade-5 students.
For secondary school students
Under the provisions in Clause 1, Article 21, Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT on the roadmap for the assessment and classification of students as follows:
Entry into force
1. This Circular comes into force from September 5, 2021 according to following roadmap:
- From school year of 2021-2022 for the 6th grade.
- From school year of 2022-2023 for the 7th and 10th grade.
- From school year of 2023-2024 for the 8th and 11th grade.
- From school year of 2024-2025 for the 9th and 12th grade.
Accordingly, in the school year of 2023-2024, Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT will be applied for students in grades 6,7,8,10,11.
As for students in grades 9 and 12, Circular 58/2011/TT-BGDDT amended and supplemented by Circular 26/2020/TT-BGDDT will be applied.
