The State Bank of Vietnam promulgates Decision 1124/QD-NHNN in 2023 on the maximum interest rate for VND deposits of organizations and individuals at credit institutions and foreign bank branches as prescribed in Circular 07/2014/TT-NHNN.
Accordingly, the maximum interest rate for VND deposits of organizations and individuals at credit institutions and foreign bank branches as prescribed in Circular 07/2014/TT-NHNN is as follows:
- The maximum interest rate applicable to demand deposits and term deposits under 1 month is 0.5 %/year.
- The maximum interest rate applicable to term deposits from 1 month to less than 6 months is 4,75%/year; except People's Credit Funds and microfinance institutions, which shall apply the maximum interest rate of 5,25%/year with respect to term deposits from 1 month to less than 6 months.
